Senior Buyer – Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer specialized in construction to join our team in Dammam. The role focuses on sourcing and purchasing a wide range of construction and maintenance materials while ensuring cost‑effective and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFQs, compile commercial bid tabulations, and generate purchase orders for civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance items.
• Evaluate suppliers, maintain procurement status reports, and develop alternative sources within the local market.
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, warranties and payment conditions with vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or related field.
• 5‑8 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in construction, maintenance, facilities management, contracting or industrial services.
• Professional procurement certification (CIPP, CPP, CIPS) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience purchasing civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, consumable and spare part materials.
• Strong knowledge of local supplier markets and ability to identify alternative sources.
• Proficiency in preparing RFQs, bid tabulations, purchase orders, supplier evaluations and conducting negotiations.
