Senior Chiller Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chiller Technician to join Carrier’s team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves installation support, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of HVAC and chiller equipment while adhering to Carrier standards, manufacturer guidelines and EH&S procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled service, maintenance, inspection and repair tasks on HVAC and chiller systems within required timeframes and quality standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, recommend corrective actions and carry out repairs or component replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities such as coil and blower cleaning, motor inspection, belt tension checks and control system adjustments.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports, job completion certificates, and maintain detailed service documentation.
• Communicate progress and any issues to customers, supervisors and ensure a safe, organized work area.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, HVAC or related field.
• 5–8 years of field service experience with HVAC and chiller maintenance.
• Valid Saudi driving licence and good command of English.
• Customer‑oriented attitude with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• HVAC and chiller equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair (DX, air‑side, reciprocating, screw and scroll chillers).
• Electrical and electronic control systems, basic building automation.
• Safe rigging, lifting and handling of heavy HVAC equipment.
• Use of mobile applications and computer tools for work orders, reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of safety documentation (MSDS/SDS) and quality management practices.
