Senior Civil Engineer (Mega Civil Project)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. The role focuses on mega‑scale civil and transportation projects, including roads, highways, bridges, underpasses, tunnels and related urban infrastructure. You will coordinate all technical aspects of road works, ensuring quality, design compliance and value‑engineered solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve or coordinate design issues and advise on design changes.
• Oversee contractor technical submissions, shop drawings, materials and design documents.
• Conduct final reviews of all contractor documentation to ensure compliance with project design concepts.
• Assess and report on value‑engineering proposals.
• Provide technical control of road works and coordinate with structures, drainage, ITS and material specialists.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the Civil Engineering department and the Technical Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Road Design or equivalent experience.
• Professional affiliation with RICS, IQS, ICES or CIOB.
• Minimum 15 years of consultancy and project‑management experience on mega construction projects, primarily as a consultant.
• Extensive experience in road design and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Strong understanding of local regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Transferable Iqama for non‑Saudi candidates and valid SCE membership.
