Senior Civil Inspector - Road Infrastructure

About the role

KEO is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Inspector to join its team on a large-scale, fast-track infrastructure project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The project covers major road upgrades, including underpasses, bridges, tunnels, grade-separated interchanges, deep foundations, secant pile walls, utility networks and civil and concrete works. The role requires strong technical expertise and site supervision experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect civil and infrastructure works against approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor road construction, bridges, underpasses, tunnels and associated infrastructure.
• Inspect secant pile walls, piling, deep foundations, reinforced concrete structures and other major civil works.
• Oversee wet and dry utilities such as electrical networks, telecommunications, water, drainage, fire systems, irrigation and ICT.
• Carry out site inspections according to method statements, inspection and test plans and project requirements.
• Review inspection requests, flag non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Track progress and report quality issues, technical problems and potential delays.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and stakeholders, lead a team of Civil Inspectors and prepare daily inspection reports and site records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in civil inspection, infrastructure construction and site supervision.
• Experience supervising or managing a team of Civil Inspectors in a consultancy or contractor.
• Previous experience on major road and infrastructure projects is highly preferred; Riyadh experience and Saudi nationality are preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of road construction, civil infrastructure and site supervision.
• Inspection of secant pile walls, piling, deep foundations and reinforced concrete.
• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, quality control and inspection requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Leadership, reporting and communication skills, able to work under pressure in a fast-track environment.
