Senior Communications Professional

About the role

The Senior Communications Professional at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare is responsible for developing and executing both internal and external communication strategies. The role leads the creation of strategic communication plans and oversees their implementation so they stay aligned with organizational goals. It reports to the Marketing and Communication Director.

Key responsibilities

• Develop communication strategies for specific projects and campaigns as directed by the Team Lead.
• Give input to crisis communication and reputation management initiatives, keeping them aligned with broader organizational goals.
• Help leadership align communication plans with departmental objectives.
• Execute internal and external communication plans, including content creation, media relations and public relations activities.
• Work with team members to keep messaging consistent and follow SEO best practices.
• Monitor and report on the performance of communication initiatives and recommend tactical adjustments.
• Oversee the creation of high-quality internal and external communication materials, optimized for search engines to support the organization's digital presence and online engagement.
• Mentor junior communications professionals and guide them in carrying out communication initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in communications, with a strong background working with communications agencies and healthcare clients.
• Bilingual, fully proficient in reading and writing both English and Arabic.
• Proven leadership and strategic communication skills, and expertise in media relations and external communications.

• Technical writing certificates are required.
• Staff communication, change management and core competencies such as excellence, integrity, accountability, cybersecurity and person-centered care.
