Senior Construction Engineer - Pipeline

About the role

To lead and coordinate day‑to‑day construction execution on site, acting as the right hand to the Construction Manager and ensuring pipeline and associated facility works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in full accordance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and Saudi Aramco standards. The role supports the Construction Manager in translating project plans into field execution, providing technical and supervisory oversight across all on‑shore construction work fronts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, sequence and supervise daily construction activities across all work fronts to meet project schedule targets.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and material resources to maintain progress and resolve site bottlenecks.
• Ensure all construction work follows approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements and Saudi Aramco standards.
• Liaise with Saudi Aramco site PMT, inspection and QA/QC teams on progress, technical queries and client comments.
• Enforce quality control checkpoints and hold points per the Inspection & Test Plan and support HSE inspections.
• Monitor daily/weekly progress, prepare construction reports and support look‑ahead planning.
• Supervise subcontractor crews, review method statements, JSAs and mentor junior site engineers.
• Coordinate construction interfaces with brownfield operations and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and manage material/equipment availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Construction Engineering.
• 10‑12 years of construction experience, primarily in oil & gas/pipeline projects.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Saudi Arabia, preferably on Saudi Aramco pipeline projects.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline construction methods (ROW, trenching, welding, lowering‑in, hydro‑testing, tie‑ins) and PTW systems.
• Proven leadership and site supervisory skills, able to deputise for senior management.
• Excellent planning, scheduling and progress reporting capabilities.
