Senior Construction Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to provide PMO‑level oversight for an assigned Project Management Contractor (PMC) across multiple packages and contracts within a large program. The role ensures that the PMC operates in line with established governance standards, methodologies, and program objectives while supporting the delivery of key milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide PMO oversight of the assigned PMC, monitoring performance against milestones, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
• Validate and challenge PMC reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper verification before escalation.
• Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and roadblocks, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation.
• Facilitate communication among the PMO, PMC, client representatives, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Support the PMO Director of Construction in driving consistency, accountability, and standardisation across PMC‑managed projects.
• Use approved PMO tools and processes for documentation, reporting, and action close‑out.
• Provide strategic input and problem‑solving support to remove delivery barriers.
• Capture corrective actions, lessons learned, and performance improvement measures.

Required profile

• Certificate in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of senior‑level managerial experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple contracts and packages within a program environment.

• Strong knowledge of PMO governance frameworks and reporting standards.
