Senior Counsel

About the role

Al Jubairi Law Firm is looking for a Senior Counsel to join its Khobar office. The role involves leading complex corporate transactions, providing strategic legal advice, and overseeing litigation while collaborating closely with the firm’s Partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and advise on corporate transactions such as M&A, joint ventures, share purchase agreements and special purpose vehicles.
• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize commercial agreements and transaction documents.
• Advise clients on corporate, commercial and labour law matters.
• Oversee and manage commercial and labour litigation matters.
• Provide strategic legal advice and assess legal and commercial risks.
• Represent clients before judicial and quasi‑judicial authorities when required.
• Manage legal matters from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution.
• Lead, mentor and supervise teams of Associates and Legal Advisors.
• Collaborate with Partners on client development, complex mandates and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and allocate work efficiently.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to clients.
• Prepare legal memoranda, reports and client updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM is an advantage.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a reputable law firm.
• Strong experience in M&A, JV transactions, SPAs, SPVs and corporate/commercial advisory work.
• Experience managing commercial and labour litigation matters.
• Proven ability to lead and manage legal teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic highly preferred.
• Saudi nationals are preferred.
