Senior Credit Assessor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Credit Assessor to evaluate SMEs and large‑cap companies, assign credit grades and support underwriting decisions for Allianz Trade in the Middle East. The role combines deep sector knowledge of GCC markets with analytical expertise to monitor credit risk and provide actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assess creditworthiness of SMEs and large‑cap clients using the Euler Hermes/Allianz grading methodology.
• Monitor the portfolio against sensitivity thresholds and conduct regular reviews.
• Prepare and present quarterly sector insights and detailed risk reports.
• Collaborate with underwriting, commercial and claims teams to align credit decisions.
• Participate in transversal projects within the Credit Intelligence Department.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in banking, audit/consulting or credit insurance.
• Strong knowledge of GCC markets and key regional trade sectors.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CFA or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent business writing and presentation skills in English; fluency in Arabic.
• Self‑motivated, agile team player with the ability to justify grading decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence powered tools for credit analysis.
