Senior Design Engineer – Road & Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design of road and bridge works for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering high‑quality engineering solutions that meet safety, regulatory and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of roads, bridges, underpasses and overpasses, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define scope, objectives and deliverables.
• Perform detailed analysis and design calculations using advanced engineering software and produce comprehensive design documentation.
• Review and approve design drawings and specifications, providing technical guidance to the design team.
• Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental and traffic engineering disciplines to integrate solutions.
• Monitor design progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to meet project timelines.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with design specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• 20+ years of experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects, including bridges, roads and highways.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Design Engineer leading complex projects.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Experience with BIM methodologies and applications.
