Senior Director of Financial Crimes Risks and Advisory

About the role

The Senior Director of Financial Crimes Risks and Advisory will design and lead an enterprise‑wide framework that protects the bank from money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, bribery, corruption and sanctions breaches. The role requires building strong governance, conducting high‑level risk assessments and ensuring that policies, procedures and controls meet regulatory expectations while staying ahead of emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the execution of the Financial Crimes Risk framework across the bank.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial crime risks, including AML, CTF, KYC and sanctions.
• Develop and maintain robust governance structures and risk‑assessment processes.
• Provide advisory support to senior business units on risk‑related decisions.
• Monitor emerging typologies, cyber‑enabled financial crimes and regulatory changes.
• Analyze trends in digital payments and other new channels to continuously update the risk posture.
• Balance regulatory compliance with sustainable business growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) experience in financial crime risk management.
• Proven track record in governance, risk assessment and compliance within a large financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of AML, CTF, KYC, sanctions and related regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to anticipate emerging risks and translate regulatory expectations into actionable controls.
• Strong leadership and advisory capabilities.
