Senior Dry Utilities Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Dry Utilities Engineer to join our Land Development team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves designing and delivering power, telecommunications and street‑lighting infrastructure for major master‑planning and land‑development projects across the Kingdom.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare designs and calculations to utility authority standards, including electrical load, LV schedules, voltage drop and cable de‑rating calculations.
• Design HV, MV and LV networks, telecommunication infrastructure and street‑lighting systems, producing single‑line diagrams, layouts and coverage drawings.
• Conduct lux calculations using DiaLux and perform tunnel/underpass lighting design.
• Inspect site works, monitor quality and ensure compliance with design drawings and company standards.
• Review drawings, reports and specifications at each project stage for completeness and correctness.
• Present technical aspects to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders and produce written reports throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline) and professional membership with an internationally recognised engineering institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in utility design projects, with a strong technical focus and proven delivery of projects.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, and ability to work in culturally diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel for short‑term assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Dialux, ETAP and Amtech software.
• Experience using ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks and Openutilities.
