Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will lead the electrical design effort for high‑profile construction projects in Riyadh. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions while guiding junior engineers and ensuring design excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update comprehensive electrical design plans that meet project scope, specifications, and engineering standards.
• Utilise BIM/VDC tools and digital workflows to improve design precision and generate innovative proposals for stakeholders.
• Review schematic designs and construction drawings, resolve complex design challenges, and ensure alignment with project vision.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and QA/QC teams to guarantee seamless integration and compliance.
• Promote eco‑friendly material selection and sustainable design practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring junior engineers and guiding project teams.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Demonstrated project management ability to deliver design tasks on time and within budget.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the electrical engineering field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience using BIM/VDC tools and digital workflow platforms.
• In‑depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Ability to perform complex load calculations and energy analyses.
• Familiarity with renewable energy system design.
