Senior Electrical Engineer - Power System Studies

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power system studies and design activities for its projects in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality engineering services using ETAP and other industry‑standard tools, ensuring reliable and safe power delivery across industrial, offshore and residential facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review comprehensive power system studies including load flow, short‑circuit (IEC & ANSI), motor starting, protective device coordination, arc‑flash hazard analysis (IEEE 1584 / NFPA 70E) and mitigation.
• Conduct harmonics, power quality, ground‑grid calculations and transient stability analyses.
• Act as the ETAP Technical Authority, validating inputs, assumptions, methodologies and final study results.
• Develop and coordinate protection system designs, protection and metering drawings, schematics, logic diagrams and instrument transformer sizing for all voltage levels.
• Run coordination studies for new and existing facilities and review protection system designs against relevant codes and standards.
• Provide technical support to design teams and guide junior engineers in power system engineering tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in power system engineering and studies.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, ISA, NEC/IEC, NFPA, ASME) and preferably Saudi Aramco standards.
• Proven ability to lead technical studies and act as a subject‑matter expert.
