Senior Engineer - Mechanical

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the Resident Engineer in overseeing complex civil infrastructure projects within integrated urban developments in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on large‑scale urban master plans, high‑rise construction and coordination with Project Management Consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, inspection protocols and test plans for civil works in urban master‑plan projects.
• Conduct site inspections, verify compliance with drawings, specifications and Saudi standards, and prepare progress reports.
• Coordinate civil, structural and MEP interfaces, liaise with design teams and PMC on material submittals, design queries and constructability reviews.
• Review and comment on contractors’ technical submittals, shop drawings and method statements to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Enforce Health, Safety and Environment standards and support the Resident Engineer in resolving technical site issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience on large‑scale urban master‑plan and high‑rise projects, including PMC coordination.
• Strong background in quality assurance, inspection, and documentation for civil infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Saudi local authority requirements and ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
