Senior Finance Specialist – Inventory & Fixed Assets

About the role

The Senior Finance Specialist (Inventory & Fixed Assets) ensures accurate accounting, control, and reporting of inventory and fixed assets across retail, food & beverage, and spare‑parts operations. You will support financial integrity, audit readiness, and effective asset management for multiple projects and entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full fixed‑asset lifecycle (creation, capitalization, transfers, depreciation, impairments, disposals) in line with IFRS.
• Monitor AUC/CWIP, reconcile the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger, and validate CAPEX vs OPEX.
• Oversee inventory movements, perform stock and cycle counts, and conduct variance analysis.
• Prepare depreciation, inventory, and related journal entries; support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closings.
• Execute sub‑ledger to GL reconciliations and produce management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and support internal/external audits.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Projects, Operations, and Finance to verify correct accounting treatment.
• Identify and drive process improvements and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in Fixed Assets or Financial Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially IAS 16, IAS 36, and IAS 38.
• Professional finance or accounting certification preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• ERP systems experience (e.g., SAP FI/MM).
• Inventory/warehouse management system proficiency.
• Fixed‑asset sub‑ledger and project system handling.
• Advanced Excel and Business Intelligence reporting tools.
