Senior Food Safety & Quality Officer

About the role

The Senior Food Safety & Quality Officer will ensure that all food and beverage preparation and service operations comply with approved safety and quality standards. This role involves daily monitoring, documentation, and supporting audit readiness to protect customer trust and the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily food and beverage preparation and service processes for compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce food safety policies, including GMP and personal hygiene standards.
• Conduct regular inspections at production, preparation, storage, and service sites and document observations.
• Verify the quality and safety of raw materials and final products before use or service.
• Report safety or quality violations and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
• Prepare the company for internal and external food safety audits.
• Maintain and update food safety records, specification manuals, and training materials.
• Evaluate suppliers for compliance and submit assessment reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Food Engineering or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of food safety and quality systems such as HACCP and ISO 22000.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Strong teamwork ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including peak seasons and events.

Required skills

• HACCP implementation and maintenance.
• ISO 22000 food safety management.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) knowledge.
• Proficiency with computer applications for reporting and documentation.
