Senior HSE Manager

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Senior HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh. The role provides strategic HSE leadership, oversees contractor compliance and drives a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the project HSE Management Plan and related procedures.
• Review, assess and approve contractors' HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and management walk‑downs to identify risks and verify compliance.
• Lead investigations of incidents, accidents and near‑misses, ensuring root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor HSE KPIs, targets and reporting mechanisms, and advise senior leadership on HSE risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• Valid SCE Registration in Health & Safety and professional certification such as NEBOSH Diploma, CSP or CMIOSH.
• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience, including at least 8 years in a senior HSE manager role on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international best practices.
