Senior I&C Engineer

About the role

The Senior I&C Engineer will lead the installation, commissioning and fault elimination of high‑voltage switching systems for PGHV worldwide. Acting as the technical representative of PG and PGHV on‑site, you will ensure projects meet deadlines, cost‑performance targets and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission high‑voltage systems in accordance with technical specifications and safety guidelines.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables together with senior management and stakeholders.
• Red‑mark drawings and documents to reflect any changes required during installation.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans.
• Coordinate workforce planning with sub‑supplier installation superintendents to meet schedules.
• Inspect incoming material for completeness and damage; manage material handling and control.
• Issue non‑conformance reports for missing or damaged equipment.
• Supervise final installation and commissioning tests, loop‑check activities and prepare completion documentation.
• Participate in site meetings and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2‑5 years of experience with Gas‑Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and high‑voltage products.
• Hands‑on experience handling SF6 gas.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
