Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

This senior position is focused on designing, building and operating large‑scale, customer‑facing cloud infrastructure. You will own end‑to‑end infrastructure products, work remotely from Saudi Arabia and collaborate with product, security and DevOps teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own a core infrastructure product or subsystem through design, development, deployment, operation and performance optimisation.
• Define project goals, success metrics and risk mitigation strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Build secure, reliable, high‑performing and cost‑efficient infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes/EKS and Terraform.
• Develop production software and developer‑facing tools to improve engineering workflows and reduce operational toil.
• Participate in incident response, debugging, monitoring and observability improvements.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and drive technical standards across distributed teams.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in infrastructure, platform or backend engineering, preferably in cloud environments.
• Proven track record owning infrastructure products through their full lifecycle.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform (or equivalent) and cloud fundamentals such as networking, load balancing and container orchestration.
• Experience operating Redis or ElastiCache clusters, including scaling and failover.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
