Senior International Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Senior International Purchasing Officer leads and manages all international procurement activities, ensuring the company obtains goods and materials from global suppliers in a cost‑effective, timely, and reliable manner. This role develops sourcing strategies, monitors market trends, and builds strong supplier relationships to support the organization’s operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement international procurement strategies and sourcing plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new international suppliers and maintain a preferred‑supplier database.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
• Monitor global market trends, pricing, and supply conditions to spot opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, Logistics, and Operations to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Track supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability; take corrective actions as needed.
• Analyze procurement costs and market data to drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Work with logistics teams to guarantee timely delivery of international orders.
• Identify potential supply‑chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international purchasing regulations.
• Utilize procurement and inventory systems, including ASCON, to manage purchase orders and supplier information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in international procurement, purchasing, or supply‑chain roles.
• Proven negotiation and communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
