Senior Manager, QA Engineering

About the role

This senior engineering leadership opportunity focuses on defining and scaling quality across a complex enterprise software platform. You will own the end‑to‑end QA strategy, establish quality gates, and use data‑driven metrics to influence release and roadmap decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the end‑to‑end QA strategy, establishing quality gates, standards, processes and cross‑team accountability.
• Lead and scale two QA teams covering functional and reliability engineering, including managers, a principal engineer and individual contributors.
• Partner with senior engineering leadership to strengthen reliability, performance, resilience and high‑load testing practices.
• Guide automation strategy and quality processes that enable efficient delivery of reliable, high‑quality outcomes.
• Develop actionable quality metrics, dashboards and reporting for leadership decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA or quality engineering functions in organizations of 100–500 employees with measurable impact.
• Strong background defining and implementing end‑to‑end QA strategies, quality gates and data‑informed decision making.
• Demonstrated ability to manage managers, senior technical specialists, principal‑level engineers and individual contributors.
• Experience scaling QA organizations, developing structures, processes and operating models that support growth.

Required skills

• Kubernetes and cloud environments (microservices, bare‑metal, etc.).
• Automation and CI/CD‑integrated testing practices.
• Tools such as Playwright and TestRail.
• Chaos engineering, advanced reliability testing and performance benchmarking.
