Senior Manager - QHSE & Food Safety

About the role

The Senior Manager – QHSE & Food Safety leads the integrated Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function for Plaza Premium Group’s airport lounges and hospitality facilities across more than 22 cities in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to regional leadership, the role ensures compliance with global standards and Saudi regulations while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate QA, QC, Food Safety and EHS into a unified operational vertical, implementing ISO 22000, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Partner with KSA functional heads (Operations, Culinary, Supply Chain, Human Capital, Projects, Maintenance) to execute corrective and preventive actions and ensure full compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison with Saudi regulatory bodies (SFDA, GACA, Ministry of Labor) and external auditors.
• Develop and maintain EHS risk assessments, emergency response protocols and sustainability initiatives across all sites.
• Lead pre‑opening quality and safety checklists, conduct operational readiness reviews and deliver mandatory training for lounge managers.
• Plan and execute internal audit schedules, analyse audit data and implement digital auditing tools, automated temperature tracking and real‑time EHS monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Hospitality Management, Environmental Health or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience leading QA/QC, Food Safety and EHS in multi‑site hospitality or airline catering operations, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 22000/HACCP Lead Auditor and NEBOSH IGC or ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations (SFDA, GACA, civil defence, labour law) and proven stakeholder management skills.
