Senior Manager, Safeguarding, Education & Wellbeing

About the role

The Senior Manager, Safeguarding, Education & Wellbeing leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of SOPC's safeguarding, education and wellbeing programmes. The role ensures safe, respectful and supportive environments for athletes, staff, coaches, minors and all participants across SOPC, LOCs and federations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safeguarding policies, procedures and reporting pathways aligned with global best practices (IOC, FIFA, SafeSport, UK CPSU, ASOIF) and local context.
• Monitor policy implementation across federations and training centres, identifying gaps and providing corrective support.
• Coordinate response and wellbeing support for affected individuals, including psychological assistance and medical support, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain structured case‑management documentation and support decision‑making on safeguarding cases.
• Design and deliver safeguarding education programmes and e‑learning modules for athletes, coaches, staff, minors and parents.
• Collaborate with Corporate Excellence, legal, investigations and sport stakeholders to uphold a culture of safety and trust.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safeguarding, education and wellbeing programmes within sport or related sectors.
• Familiarity with international safeguarding standards (IOC, FIFA, SafeSport, UK CPSU, ASOIF).
• Ability to develop policies, monitor implementation and coordinate multi‑stakeholder responses.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to confidentiality.
