Senior Managing Consultant – Services Business Development

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant to drive services business development, commercial payments and new payment flow initiatives. The role combines sales leadership, client relationship management and project oversight to help clients modernise their treasury and payment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and close new business opportunities with senior commercial clients, CFOs and treasury functions.
• Lead formal and informal pitches, from storyboarding to face‑to‑face presentations, creating persuasive written materials.
• Manage a pipeline of proposals from early lead stages through to signature, delivering on sales targets.
• Coach and provide feedback to project team members, supporting problem‑solving and work‑plan structuring.
• Oversee the accuracy, quality and timeliness of analyses, and develop conclusions and recommendations for clients.

Required profile

• Corporate/wholesale banking experience in payments and cash management.
• Undergraduate degree required; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
• Strong business development orientation and relationship‑management skills.
• Experience in management consulting, especially treasury consulting, is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, influence stakeholders and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
