Senior Network & Systems Engineer – Lead

About the role

As a Senior Network & Systems Engineer – Lead you will design, build, and maintain robust IT infrastructure across multiple sites in a defined region. You will manage large‑scale projects, act as the first escalation point for complex incidents, and continuously improve processes while expanding your expertise in software design, data structures, AWS and distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive network excellence through advanced engineering, troubleshooting, and systems administration across several facilities.
• Maintain critical system uptime and serve as the primary escalation point for high‑severity issues.
• Plan, coordinate and execute change management activities and regional technical projects from conception to completion.
• Automate repetitive tasks, develop tools to increase team efficiency, and manage large‑scale initiatives impacting multiple sites.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, lead continuous‑improvement efforts, and produce technical documentation and SOPs.
• Provide on‑call support beyond business hours, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Required profile

• 3+ years of IT client, server and network service delivery.
• 4+ years of experience in IT systems, networking and Windows/Linux server administration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot in high‑availability, multi‑user environments.
• Experience delivering end‑to‑end IT infrastructure for new site launches.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal teams and external vendors.

Required skills

• DNS, DHCP, VLANs, TCP/IP, subnetting, SSL/TLS, OSI Model, routing protocols.
• Routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, structured cabling.
• Windows Server administration, Linux administration, Cisco IOS (CLI).
• AWS technologies and distributed systems concepts.
• Automation tools and scripting for task optimisation.
