Senior Payments Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly detail‑oriented Senior Payments Accountant to manage and review payment operations at our Riyadh office. The role ensures that all payment transactions are processed accurately, recorded correctly and comply with internal policies and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Review invoices and supporting documents for completeness and compliance with contracts and approved financial policies.
• Prepare and review payment orders, verifying financial data accuracy before approval.
• Process supplier and vendor payments, monitoring due dates to ensure timely settlement.
• Accurately record all payment transactions in the financial system with correct accounting entries.
• Review operating and capital expenditures for proper classification and cost‑center allocation.
• Prepare and review accounts payable reconciliations, monitor open balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with treasury to confirm sufficient liquidity before executing scheduled payments.
• Monitor advance payments and pending settlements to ensure timely closure and reconciliation.
• Prepare periodic payment reports, including overdue analysis and improvement recommendations.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries, discrepancies and outstanding claims.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities through payment schedules and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and contribute to process efficiency.
• Participate in automation and enhancement of accounts payable processes to improve data quality and reduce errors.

Required profile

• Experience supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
