Senior Planning Engineer - Mixed-Use Developments

About the role

Egis, a global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services firm, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Planning Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Site Planning Engineer, you will help ensure the efficient execution of construction projects by developing, maintaining and optimising project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera P6
• Analyse project timelines, resources and dependencies to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and subcontractors to gather accurate information for schedule updates
• Monitor project progress and report variances between planned and actual performance
• Prepare and present periodic progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting milestones and potential risks
• Carry out resource analysis and optimisation of manpower and equipment
• Assist in developing recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Dubai
• Take part in project meetings and maintain accurate records of planning documents and revisions

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• At least 12 years of experience in planning engineering for mixed-use building developments
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale construction projects
• Knowledge of mixed-use building development processes and regulations, and familiarity with Saudi building codes
• Understanding of sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred; PMP certification is a plus

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Strong knowledge of BIM software and AutoCAD
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
