Senior Project Controls Engineer

About the role

Mott MacDonald is looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure, transport, building and land development projects across Saudi Arabia. You will develop and maintain project programmes, implement controls processes and provide accurate performance reporting to ensure effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor project programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Establish and manage Work Breakdown Structures, programme baselines and reporting frameworks.
• Coordinate programme development with project managers, design managers and technical discipline leads.
• Monitor progress, perform critical‑path analysis and support earned‑value management.
• Develop project‑controls dashboards, KPIs and management reports.
• Administer change control processes and assess impacts of scope changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in project planning, scheduling and project controls on major infrastructure or transport projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is preferred.
• Professional accreditation (APM, PMP, PMI‑SP) or Primavera P6 certification is desirable.
