Senior Project Manager - Greenfield Industrial Project

About the role

Sika is undertaking a major strategic investment in Saudi Arabia involving a new manufacturing facility and the consolidation of existing operations. It is looking for an experienced, results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of these projects, from concept and design through construction, commissioning, start-up and handover. The role combines technical expertise in industrial construction with project management capability, delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and in line with Sika's global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, engineering, execution and delivery of greenfield industrial construction and site consolidation projects, defining scope, milestones and deliverables.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and resource plans, and coordinate engineering, operations, procurement, finance, HSE and quality teams.
• Manage construction activities, monitor progress against schedule, budget and quality, conduct site inspections and oversee contractors and subcontractors.
• Apply project controls using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, and handle project changes, claims and risks.
• Lead plant commissioning, start-up, testing, training, documentation and punch-list closure, and support the transition to operations.
• Act as main point of contact for stakeholders, liaising with consultants, contractors, suppliers, government authorities and regulators, and report regularly to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, permitting, industry standards and Sika policies, and promote a strong HSE culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• PMP certification is mandatory; additional project management or construction certifications are an advantage.
• 10-12 years of industrial project management experience, including greenfield manufacturing or industrial facility projects.
• Proven track record delivering multi-million-dollar capital projects from concept to handover.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical, construction materials or industrial production sectors.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian and GCC regulatory requirements and construction standards.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
