Senior Project Manager

About the role

As a Senior Project Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will lead and manage complex, large‑scale projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closing.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with detailed tasks, timelines, resource allocation and budget estimates.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Form, motivate and manage high‑performing project teams, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders and external vendors.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards and presentations to senior leadership and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• PMP or equivalent certification (e.g., PRINCE2) is required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role, preferably in a large multinational technology or engineering company.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, large‑scale projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
• Fluency in English.
