Senior Project Manager – Pipe Plant CAPEX & Cost Optimization

About the role

Welspun World is seeking a senior professional to lead cost optimisation and execution of capital projects for its pipe manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on maintaining project budgets, driving plant upgrades, and ensuring operational efficiency across the pipe plant portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise project costs to stay within approved CAPEX budgets.
• Prepare and execute CAPEX proposals for all pipe plant projects.
• Plan and implement plant modifications and upgrades to improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and mentor team members, fostering both core and multi‑skill capabilities.
• Lead comprehensive project planning and execution activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale industrial projects, preferably in pipe manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of budget control, CAPEX management, and plant upgrade processes.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and develop talent.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of API standards for pipe manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO standards applicable to the pipe industry.
• Experience with QA/QC processes in pipe production.
• Hands‑on expertise in pipe manufacturing operations.
