Senior QC Engineer – Machining

About the role

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging is looking for an experienced Senior QC Engineer – Machining to lead quality assurance across all machining operations. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will ensure that every machined component meets engineering drawings, customer specifications, and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of machined parts, including mandatory first‑piece checks.
• Monitor machining operations to verify compliance with approved process parameters.
• Manage identification, segregation, and status control of conforming and non‑conforming products.
• Maintain calibration of CMMs, gauges, micrometers, calipers and other precision instruments, ensuring traceability to national and international standards.
• Enforce quality compliance with API Spec Q1, API 20A, API 20B, ISO 9001 and related standards.
• Lead root‑cause analysis, issue and close NCRs, CAPAs, and corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports, quality records and release documentation.
• Support internal, external and API audits and provide technical guidance to QC staff and production teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of Quality Control experience in casting, forging or heavy‑machining environments.
• Hands‑on experience with inspection and calibration of machining equipment.

Required skills

• Inspection of machined components against drawings and tolerances.
• Calibration and use of CMM, gauges, micrometers, calipers and precision instruments.
• Knowledge of API Spec Q1, API 20A, API 20B and ISO 9001 standards.
• Root‑cause analysis, NCR, CAPA and corrective‑action management.
• First Article Inspection (FAI) and traceability procedures.
• Audit preparation and technical support for production teams.
