Senior QC Engineer - Rotating Equipment

About the role

Sulzer, a leading engineering company, is hiring a Senior QC Engineer in Riyadh's Industrial Area 2. The role ensures quality and technical compliance in servicing rotating equipment such as pumps, turbines and compressors, in line with Sulzer OEM, customer and international standards. It covers inspections, repair solutions, quality procedures, inspection reports and standard development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections of rotating equipment and components
• Prepare and review overhaul reports with technical recommendations, and develop work instructions, drawings and repair methods
• Maintain job packs, checklists, inspection records and SOPs, and prepare and run Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Provide technical quality support, including WPS/PQR review and material selection
• Perform dimensional, geometric and disassembly inspections, and manage NCRs (RCA, CAPA, lessons learned)
• Coordinate NDT and specialized testing with third parties, and ensure calibration, control and traceability of inspection equipment
• Support operations and projects, train staff on quality standards, and promote EHS, quality procedures and 5S

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• At least 7 years of experience in a similar or related role
• Strong centrifugal pump background; compressor/turbine experience is an advantage
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, manuals and technical specifications
• Experience in procedure development and NCR handling
• NDT certification (LPT/MPI/UT Level 2); LEAA lifting/rigging certification is a plus

Required skills

• Precision measurement and workshop inspection
• Solid understanding of pump hydraulics, mechanical seals and rotating equipment
• Knowledge of OEM standards and practices preferred
