Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will support KBR’s PMO services for a major mixed‑use infrastructure programme in Riyadh. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager – Lead, the role oversees commercial reporting, contract management and cost control to prevent schedule slippage and cost overruns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement standard cost and commercial reporting formats for project management consultants.
• Monitor construction progress by measuring installed quantities against planned quantities.
• Compile and validate analytical commercial data for executive risk reporting.
• Prepare Project Cost Reports, Commercial Executive Reports and cash‑flow forecasts within Unifier and integrate with other platforms.
• Review procurement guidelines, BoQ and tender documents to establish standards for PMCs.
• Produce cost benchmark reports, including Tender Price Index and market insight analyses.
• Support change control procedures and provide cost‑risk and opportunity assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quantity surveying.
• Minimum 15 years of post‑graduation experience in major civil and infrastructure projects.
• Professional certification such as MRICS or CIOB is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of commercial aspects of urban developments, high‑rise buildings, roads, bridges and utilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Experience with cost estimating software.
• Familiarity with international contracting mechanisms (FIDIC, NEC).
