Senior Registrar – Emergency Medicine

About the role

The Senior Registrar in Emergency Medicine provides high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care under the supervision of the Consultant/Head of ER. This role ensures adherence to professional ethics, CBAHI/JCI standards, and Saudi Ministry of Health regulations while delivering compassionate treatment to patients at Riyadh Care Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care within the scope of clinical privileges and professional competence.
• Maintain and improve the triage system in collaboration with Emergency Room nurses.
• Supervise assigned ER physicians and junior medical staff.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures permitted by specialty privileges.
• Assess, refer, and coordinate care for patients requiring external facilities.
• Participate in on‑call rota and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient records.
• Contribute to disaster‑contingency planning and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Engage in continuous medical education, conferences, and training programs.
• Participate in departmental committees such as Quality Improvement and Infection Control.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor registered with the Saudi Ministry of Health.
• Experience at senior registrar level in Emergency Medicine.
• Ability to supervise physicians and junior staff.
• Commitment to professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and continuous learning.
