Senior Registrar – Family Medicine

About the role

Family Medicine Senior Registrar will provide comprehensive primary healthcare both in‑person and via telemedicine to individuals and families of all ages, covering preventive, acute, and chronic care. The role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, promoting health education, and coordinating care with specialists and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough telehealth and face‑to‑face consultations, obtain histories, perform examinations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications, order investigations, refer to specialists and provide ongoing patient education.
• Manage chronic and acute conditions, adjusting care plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Practice population health management by identifying community health issues, implementing preventive programs and promoting health awareness.
• Document all encounters accurately in electronic health records and ensure compliance with medical regulations and quality standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research activities and prepare reports for audits.
• Maintain proficiency with telemedicine platforms, video‑conferencing, secure messaging and EHR integration, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.

Required profile

• Residency training in Family Medicine from an accredited program and board certification.
• Registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar.
• Proven experience as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar or similar role in a primary‑care setting.
• Experience in population health management and value‑based care approaches.
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
