Senior Sales Associate

About the role

The Senior Sales Associate will lead high‑value sales activities in an optical retail environment, ensuring premium customer experiences and supporting store performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive high‑value sales, upselling, cross‑selling and promotional execution.
• Support the store in achieving sales targets, improving conversion rates and average transaction value.
• Handle complex customer cases, objections and complaints while maintaining a premium experience.
• Build strong relationships with VIP and returning customers.
• Understand prescriptions, lenses and product matching to guide customers confidently.
• Assist opticians in presenting technical solutions in a sales‑friendly manner.
• Accurately process POS transactions and insurance sales, and resolve insurance‑related issues.
• Ensure order accuracy, coordinate with opticians/technicians and reduce miscommunication complaints.
• Coach and train junior sales associates on selling techniques and customer handling.
• Monitor floor performance, product availability and visual merchandising.
• Support stock control, reporting and daily store operations, acting as shift leader when required.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of retail sales experience, preferably in optical.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Excellent oral and written English and Arabic.
• Strong sales leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to coach and guide junior staff.
