Senior Sales Engineer – Data Centre Specialist

About the role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer with deep expertise in data‑centre cooling to drive growth in the Saudi market. You will act as the technical and commercial bridge between clients and our engineering teams, delivering tailored HVAC solutions for mission‑critical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities within data‑centre and mission‑critical markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with data‑centre owners, operators, consultants and EPC contractors.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for precision cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers and related HVAC solutions.
• Conduct site assessments and collaborate with engineering to design solutions that meet capacity, energy‑efficiency (PUE) and redundancy requirements.
• Present technical solutions, negotiate contracts and close sales in line with pricing and margin guidelines.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging cooling technologies.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering and service teams to ensure smooth handover and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of HVAC sales experience, preferably in data‑centre or mission‑critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE TC9.9 guidelines and Uptime Institute Tier classifications.
• Proven track record of achieving B2B sales targets.
• Existing network within the Saudi data‑centre/EPC/consultant community is a plus.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.
