Senior Sales Engineer - Utility Sector

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on building relationships with key utility customers, particularly Saudi Energy and its subsidiaries, and leading sales negotiations and commercial term development. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with utility EPCs, consultants and key decision-makers to support long-term business development and customer satisfaction.
• Promote Hitachi Energy's complete product and system portfolio, identify customer needs and develop value-based solutions aligned with utility and EPC project requirements.
• Develop and execute sales plans, monitor pipeline performance, run regular opportunity reviews and take corrective action to meet targets.
• Ensure offers meet technical, financial and commercial requirements, including pricing, payment, delivery, contract compliance and risk assessment.
• Coordinate and deliver presentations to customers covering product features, economic justification, differentiation and key values.
• Achieve annual sales budgets and KPIs through account management, market development and opportunity conversion.
• Work with Market Managers and cross-functional teams on marketing initiatives and customer engagement.
• Support proposal development, coordinate leasing with Hitachi Energy factories, handle order logging and conduct risk reviews.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with a good track record in related assignments.
• Fluent English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of the Hitachi Energy portfolio, including transformers, HV products and capacitor banks.
• Good knowledge of SFDC and maintenance of SFDC and other sales tools.
