Senior Service Engineer – Automation & Control

About the role

The Senior Service Engineer will deliver on‑site technical support for customer‑owned automation, control and instrumentation systems at Saudi Aramco facilities. The role ensures safe, reliable and compliant operation while adhering to Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, start‑up, troubleshoot and maintain DCS, PLC, SIS and field instrumentation at live plant environments.
• Execute preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance during normal operation, shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Perform loop checking, SAT, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities following approved Aramco procedures.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, patches and lifecycle management under the Management of Change process.
• Prepare service reports, daily logs, RCA documentation and ensure proper hand‑over of as‑built records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of automation service experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or process plants.
• Prior on‑site experience at Saudi Aramco facilities and ability to obtain a Saudi Aramco ID.
