Senior Site Supervision Engineer (Aviation Experience)

About the role

Egis, an international engineering, consulting and construction firm active in the Middle East, is hiring a Senior Site Supervision Engineer in Riyadh for an aviation-related project. The engineer acts as the Client/Consultant's primary site representative, overseeing day-to-day construction activities, contractor oversight, site coordination, progress monitoring, quality control and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and in line with approved designs and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily construction activities and coordinate the Contractor's site work against approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule, identify delays and risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs and technical submissions, and inspect workmanship, materials, testing and installation.
• Coordinate across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines, and resolve design discrepancies and constructability issues.
• Follow up on RFIs, NCRs, site instructions and corrective actions, and support variations, claims and delay assessments.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, handover and closeout documentation such as as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly site reports, update the Project Manager, and assist in reviewing contractor payment applications.
• Work with the HSE team to identify engineering hazards and enforce safe work practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of construction and site supervision experience, preferably on major and complex projects.
• Proven experience on aviation/airport projects, including airside facilities and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes and international quality standards; PMP is a plus.
• Excellent English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Revit, AutoCAD, Aconex and MS Office.
• Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, quality management, HSE and project controls.
• Sound working knowledge of MEP systems and interdisciplinary coordination.
