Senior Software Engineer – Digital Platforms

About the role

Qiddiya Digital is looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to take technical ownership of critical digital product domains across its ecosystem. This senior individual contributor role provides technical leadership to vendor teams while ensuring the platforms are resilient, secure, and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture, engineering standards, and technical roadmap for assigned digital domains.
• Lead design, implementation, integration, release, and production operations, reviewing APIs, data models, and code quality.
• Validate vendor deliverables against clear acceptance criteria and ensure compliance with Qiddiya Digital standards.
• Establish and monitor technical KPIs, SLOs, availability, latency, recovery, and performance targets.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting mechanisms.
• Drive incident management, root‑cause analysis, and permanent remediation.
• Identify and manage technical debt, architectural risks, and operational weaknesses.
• Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and support procedures, and promote knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in senior engineering or architecture roles (Lead, Staff, Principal, Technical Lead).
• Hands‑on expertise designing and operating large‑scale, distributed, cloud‑native platforms.
• Experience with customer‑facing digital products such as commerce, payments, loyalty, identity, or ticketing.
