Senior Software Engineer

About the role

The Senior Software Engineer is a full‑time hybrid role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with flexibility for partial work from home. You will design, develop, and maintain back‑end solutions that power Insightix’s social‑services transformation, empowerment programs, and impact‑measurement platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back‑end software solutions for social‑services platforms.
• Write clean, scalable code and implement APIs and data integrations.
• Optimize system performance while ensuring security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, data, and consulting teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Participate in planning sessions, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering production‑grade back‑end systems and microservices.
• Hands‑on expertise with modern server‑side languages (Java, C#, Python, Node.js) and both relational and non‑relational databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD practices.
• Fluency in Arabic; English knowledge and familiarity with the Saudi regional context are a plus.
