Senior Structural Engineer (Design Review)

About the role

KEO, an award-winning AEP/PMCM firm and one of the top international design firms, is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer (Civil) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on design review, compliance checks and value engineering across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design compliance reviews against project requirements, applicable codes, standards, regulations and employer requirements.
• Apply design review methodology, including preparing review schedules, review workflows and design assurance processes.
• Carry out Value Engineering (VE) and constructability reviews to identify cost, quality, operational and construction optimization opportunities.
• Develop and manage comment resolution registers.
• Recommend design stage approvals and IFC (Issued for Construction) submissions.
• Identify, assess and track design-related risks using risk registers and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, BIM teams, contractors, clients and stakeholders throughout the design review process.
• BIM coordination, clash detection and review of BIM coordination reports are preferred.

Required profile

• 10+ years of work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Proven ability to carry out design compliance reviews.
• Strong coordination skills with architects, engineers, BIM teams, contractors, clients and stakeholders.
