Senior Technical Consultant

About the role

Worley Parsons is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to lead and support utility‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Saudi Arabia. The role combines project management, technical oversight, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high‑quality renewable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Solar PV and BESS projects, developing schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure deliverables meet client and company standards.
• Oversee technical studies including site screening, feasibility, solar resource, energy yield, BESS sizing, grid connection, power system, environmental and social, geotechnical, and technical due diligence.
• Review and validate consultant and contractor outputs for quality and completeness.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and specialist consultants, and maintain clear communication with developers, investors, utilities, regulators, and government entities.
• Support business development activities, proposal preparation, and lead technical workshops and client presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• PMP certification preferred; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in renewable energy project development, specifically managing utility‑scale Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Strong background in technical due diligence and delivering robust study outputs.
