Senior Technical Engineer – Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Engineer to lead technical procurement activities within our Procurement Department. The role combines strong engineering knowledge with hands‑on procurement experience in construction, finishing and fit‑out projects across Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications and material requirements before initiating procurement.
• Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier sourcing, RFQs, technical and commercial evaluation, negotiations and purchase order coordination.
• Pre‑qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on technical compliance, quality, cost and delivery capabilities.
• Evaluate material submittals, samples and product specifications and coordinate consultant approvals.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Project Management and Site teams to ensure timely delivery of compliant materials.
• Recommend alternative materials and value‑engineering solutions to optimise cost while maintaining quality.
• Monitor procurement schedules, material approvals, purchase orders and supplier delivery commitments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in Saudi Arabia on construction, contracting or fit‑out projects, with proven involvement in completed finishing projects.
• Hands‑on procurement experience within the construction industry, including supplier sourcing, RFQs and bid evaluation.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, architectural finishes, technical specifications, drawings and BOQs.
