Senior Transport Planner

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Transport Planner for its Riyadh office to lead a diverse portfolio of transport planning projects. You will work closely with clients, multidisciplinary teams and sub‑consultants, taking responsibility for project management, commercial performance and technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior team members, reviewing their work before submission.
• Prepare technical and financial proposals and support business development initiatives.
• Manage medium‑sized projects as Project Manager, ensuring successful delivery.
• Act as primary client contact, handling project‑related queries and requirements.
• Oversee project budgets, invoicing, contracts and commercial performance.
• Coordinate and manage sub‑consultants across assigned projects.
• Apply Mott MacDonald project‑management methodologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant transport planning experience within the GCC region.
• Proven experience managing transport planning projects and delivering successful outcomes.
• Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience managing project finances, contracts and commercial aspects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Synchro.
• Proficiency in HCS.
