Senior Wet Engineer (Airport Utilities)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Wet Engineer to lead the design, delivery and commissioning of wet utility infrastructure for a major airport airfield development. The role combines technical expertise with multidisciplinary coordination to ensure safe, efficient and compliant water, fire‑protection and drainage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead review, development and coordination of wet utility designs for airfield and airport infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, local authority requirements, airport regulations and client specifications.
• Oversee design of potable water distribution networks, firefighting water systems, storm‑water drainage, and sewerage collection infrastructure.
• Perform hydraulic analyses, model system performance and assess flood‑mitigation measures.
• Support value‑engineering initiatives to optimise efficiency, sustainability and operational reliability.
• Provide engineering support during construction, installation, testing and commissioning, including review of shop drawings, method statements and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections, verify compliance with approved designs and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with airport authorities, utility providers, government agencies, consultants and contractors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in wet utility design and delivery for large‑scale infrastructure projects, preferably airports.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, water distribution, fire‑protection and storm‑water systems.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience in construction supervision and commissioning.
