Service Advisor – Customer Care & Sales

About the role

The Service Advisor will act as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles to the service centre. The role combines customer care, sales support and coordination of technical work to achieve high satisfaction, retention and service revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑acceptance inspections, record vehicle condition and confirm findings with the customer.
• Coordinate repair work with the Chief Technician, ensure accurate diagnostics, and oversee final inspections.
• Communicate repair estimates, progress updates and obtain customer approvals for additional parts.
• Follow up on post‑service issues, manage complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor parts availability with the Parts Department and ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in automotive service or a related service‑advisor role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair processes.
• Ability to manage customer interactions with a “Guest First” mindset.

Required skills

• Automotive diagnostic knowledge (pre‑diagnostic questioning, troubleshooting).
• Computer skills – proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, presentations and database management.
